Overview:
Serving the Corning-Elmira area of New York by promoting quality in the areas of Manufacturing, Education, Service (including Government) and Healthcare.
The Corning-Elmira Section is one of the 255 geographically-based sections of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), with a March 2008 membership of approximately 149. The section was established in 1955 of what was then called the American Society for Quality Control. The section area includes Allegeny, Tioga, Schuyler, Chemung, and Steuben counties of New York.
The Section posts information at this site, and offers some educational opportunities, when enough members register for an offered course. One of the best ways to get more involved with the section is to attend the monthly dinner meeting where you will meet a large portion of the section's most active people. The section congratulates those individuals who have achieved certification status.
